Choosing what a card spends from

Each card has a Spend from setting: any of your fiat balances, USDC, or Smart, which pays from the balance matching the transaction currency and falls back to the card's own currency when there isn't one.

When a card spends from USDC, every transaction shows both amounts — for example −3.00 € (−3.25 USDC @ 1.083) — so the conversion is never a surprise on your statement.

The rate shown is the rate used at the moment of spending, and the conversion appears in your ledger like any other movement.

If you would rather convert on your own schedule, leave the card on a fiat balance and use the auto top-up rule instead.
